: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Hi

Can anybody guide me on this particular issue. The method in my wcf service interacts thrice with the database .When i am trying to give more than 40 concurrent users then error occurs for more than 10 tests and the exception message that comes is .

"WcfForDrugLab threw exception:  System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to http://10.40.33.102:8070/HIPaReHISCloudService.svc. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details. --->  System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. --->  System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. --->  System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."

Is it because of database interaction. For first 10,15 users no errors comes but when that increases then errors occurs rapidly.

Please guide me on this particular issue.I am a beginner in wcf .Anything more explained will be really appreciated.

Have a look at the Visual Studio Performance Testing Quick Reference Guide here http://vsptqrg.codeplex.com/, especially the item on "WCF service load test gets time-outs after 10 requests ".
